Building neighbourhoods together

Get Living London aims to redefine the way people rent and live in cities. Through a simple but revolutionary letting model, they’ve transformed the former London 2012 athletes’ village into an authentic neighbourhood, East Village.

With a second location launching soon, the company needed a future-facing website, to better serve their audience and the growing needs of the business. We designed and built a site which communicates the brand’s vision, reflects the personality of each neighbourhood and guides clear user journeys.

In doing so we’ve developed the Get Living London brand to showcase its position as an innovator in placemaking.

A more holistic brand
Get Living London creates genuine neighbourhoods in cities with a unique energy. To communicate their approach and deliver results, the site takes users on clear journeys, builds a more holistic view of the brand, and reflects a distinct identity for each neighbourhood.

Finding a home
The search function makes finding a property more intuitive, and supports Get Living London as they grow into new locations. Property listings and detail pages adapt across content hierarchy and devices, centring the experience around the user’s needs.

Beautifully effective
In the six months since launch the website has had a large increase in numbers of new and returning visitors and most importantly, in apartment enquiries across the two locations.

In the picture
To reflect a model that puts its tenants first, our photography needed to feel natural, authentic and positive. We worked with Carol Sachs to create placemaking imagery around East Village properties, with more reportage-style shots of the neighbourhood’s retailers by Charlotte Tolhurst.

Building real neighbourhoods
To celebrate the individual character of Get Living London neighbourhoods, we created moodboard-style pages of imagery and editorial-style content, giving a real sense of what it’s like to live in East Village.

Reflecting the vision
Get Living London believe the spaces between our homes, and what happens in them, are just as important as the home themselves. We worked with illustrator Nathalie Lees to reflect the events, activities and lifestyle this approach fosters. Copy introducing the Get Living London way is kept short and sweet, allowing full-width illustrations to communicate these human brand values.
