The Curlew is a stylish modern British restaurant which opened in Bodiam, East Sussex. We were asked to create an identity, website and print materials based around the theme of the curlew; a rare bird which is native to Sussex and threatened with extinction.
The brief required an identity with a subtle British influence and a broad appeal. The mark itself is an elaboration on the curlew’s distinctive beak, and is supported by a script typeface which gives it the feel of a typographic ornament.
Working alongside interior designers Macaulay Sinclair and photographer Darren Ciolli-Leach, we also designed a website to showcase the restaurant and its elegant interior. Visit thecurlewrestaurant.co.uk
