Pitcher & Piano's city-centre venues are on a crusade to bring the good times back to our high streets. Having worked with the team previously on tactical campaigns, we were asked to help rediscover the personality that has made them so resilient, alongside a programme of refurbishment for their 22 sites.
Rather than abandon the existing logotype altogether, we chose to customise and craft it into a stronger, more practical, device. We also developed a P&P monogram to be used as a discreet secondary branding device, on uniforms and 'found' items in the bar.
A strong heritage theme runs throughout the marketing communications and point of sale, with elegant colour palettes reinforced by tactile paper stocks and weathered textures. The look is brought up to date through friendly, engaging and conversational messaging. Quirky engraved images punctuate the printed matter, helping to support the brand story in an understated way.
Thanks to Scene Photography for the bar shots.
