Sony PlayStation recently launched their new motion control platform, PlayStation Move. A sophisticated controller which works with the PlayStation Eye camera to sense exactly where you are in the room, it's set to launch the next generation of gaming.
We were asked to develop the PS Move logo mark – supplied by Sony PlayStation Japan – into a comprehensive branding scheme; first as teaser campaign imagery and a viral movie made with Mainframe, then for use on packaging and point of sale. We devised a comprehensive 'look & feel' style guide which includes thematic colour palettes, a bespoke PS Move typeface, model photography and systems for displaying various products. A media kit, sent to key press contacts in PAL territories, utilises a reflective miri-board with a fisheye lens surface, allowing the recipients to picture themselves at the centre the action.
