The Big Splash branding

Branding. Motion.

The BBC and British Swimming are working together to create a lasting legacy from the 2012 Olympics. The Big Splash is the biggest ever campaign to inspire the people of the UK to swim, and wil be supported by prime-time broadcasting across the national and regional BBC network.

BBC Sport invited us to create a branding scheme for the Big Splash, appealing to people of all abilities and ages, 'from 8 to 80 and beyond.' The logo itself captures the fluidity of a splash in progress, and is intended to energise any partner brands it sits alongside – it won't be contained!

As the brand will live in a number of different static and dynamic environments, we compiled a comprehensive style guide to cover its use in various marketing communications. The Big Splash launched live on BBC2 at the Great Salford Swim on Sunday 15th May. Find out more at bbc.co.uk/bigsplash.
