When you were young, were there any early clues you’d be doing what you do now?

I grew up in Birmingham, around a large family. I used to love watching my dad sketch, and that’s where it all began. I tried to recreate his style of drawing under his guidance.

Tell us how you got into the design world.

I began studying Fine Art at A-Level, and was guided by my tutor (Bradley Spencer) to take a look into the Graphic Design world as it was more suited to my meticulous approach.

Design is a continuous cycle of inspiration and interpretation. Every idea is formed from something that has come previously.”

What advice would you give the younger version of yourself?

Take every opportunity to learn from others. I was far too stubborn with my design ideas from school up until my final year of university.

What fascinates you about design?

Design is a continuous cycle of inspiration and interpretation. Every idea is formed from something that has come previously.

How about outside of work – what are you into?

Post-1999 rap music. I have an incredible ability at retaining facts about rap music, and was deep into the blog era of rap. It’s where my passion for music really began.

What do you love about London?

The culture. There’s something for everyone here. I love the idea of always being able to find new places to eat, drink and venture out to.

Who do you most admire?

My dad. Hero. And my mother, otherwise she’ll get jealous.
